Is Luck required in the Raise an Anomaly lab?
Nothing official says so. Community coverage treats Luck as optional and not a rare-hatch guarantee. Feed and Speed come first.
Economy
Use the Raise an Anomaly lab to park hatches, collect cash, and fund Speed and food.
Updated

The Raise an Anomaly lab is home. The official description ends on “Earn money and upgrade your lab.” Stolen eggs become babies here, food is used here, and cash for the next steal comes from here.
This page is the lab overview. Feeding details live on the food page. Treadmill details live on the Speed page. Merge has its own page so lab upgrades are not mixed with unpublished recipes.
Hatch an egg, keep the anomaly in the lab, feed it so it levels, collect the money it produces, and spend that money on lab upgrades. That sentence is just the store page in order.
Official art supports the same fantasy: a containment room, a baby on the floor, packaged food, a red moon. It is a tycoon plot with SCP dressing, not a raid instance.

Community wikis split the lab into Treadmill (Speed), Luck, Plot, and Toy Roller. Luck is described as an upgrade that does not guarantee rare hatches. Plot is capacity. Toy Roller is a placement roller with percentage bonuses.
None of those machine names are on the official description. They are listed here so you can recognise the UI, with the evidence label attached. Costs stay blank.
| Machine | Reported job | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Treadmill | Train Speed for zones | Community |
| Luck | Hatch luck upgrades, not a guarantee | Community |
| Plot | Capacity / parking space | Community |
| Toy Roller | Placeable toys with % bonuses | Community |
| Merge Machine | Combine anomalies | Group shout 2026-09-16 |
If you cannot steal, Speed. If you can steal but the plot is empty, eggs and hatching. If the plot has babies that stay small, food. If cash piles up with nowhere to go, Plot or the next zone.
Luck is a later spend. Community notes already say it does not guarantee rares. Do not dump early cash into Luck because a thumbnail promised a shiny.
The AUTO COLLECT CASH pass exists as a product whose blurb is “Instantly collect all cash!” The 2026-09-16 API snapshot marks it not for sale. Until it returns, collecting is a manual lab chore.
A pass that auto-collects does not replace feeding. Empty food stock still stalls levels even if cash is scooped instantly.
Merge was announced as a new lab machine on 16 September 2026. Use the lab page to decide whether you can afford to experiment; use the Merge page for the machine itself.
Keep at least one paying anomaly on the plot when you try Merge. The lab has to keep printing cash while you learn an unpublished recipe.

No skill tree is on the official page. Lab progress is tycoon upgrades plus the Merge Machine announcement.
